Replacement Easel Paper Roll

Review Date: April 18, 2010
Reviewer: R. Mojica, Orlando, FL
I was mislead into believe that this Replacement Easel Paper Roll 18" would be a suitable replacement for my daughter's "Rose Art, Smart Easel". This paper does not fit on the arm that holds the easel paper. The whole in the middle it too small to fit. I had to cut each sheet so that my daughter can use the paper. I'm not impressed with the false advertising. I sent a message to the manufacturer of the paper and to no one's surprise I have not heard back from them.

Look elsewhere and unless you want the extra work of pre-cutting each sheet don't waste your money.

Great quality paper. Fits right on the Melissa & Doug Easel that we got our granddaughter for Chrismas. We had to slow her down from using it all up. Would buy more (if we have to!!!)
The 18" roll will not fit the smart easel.

The 18"easel paper that I ordered as an extra because my son loves to draw alot will not even fit on the easel. I have tried and retried but the spool of cardboard in the middle will not allow it to go on. I ended up having to cut sheets to fit the easel and clip them on. The smart easel itself is very nice but the replacement paper does not work with the easel. I am afraid to order more for fear of the same problem or of being mislead as the others reviews suggest.
average paper

This paper roll is good, but I would only advise the use of 'light mediums' on it (pens, pencils, maybe markers - definitely not water colors or similar).
great but pricey

great item but too costly for 75 feet. you can probably find elsewhere, like I did

The paper works well on the Melissa and Doug easel. It's a little thin to use on the ground.
Bought it for my 3 year old Boy.

I bought this for my son to go with the easel set I got him for Christmas. I received it the day after I ordered it which was nice because I wasn't expecting it that soon. The paper I think it pretty thick. The only real problem I have with it is that every time I try to cut off the paper (wet or dry) it always tears. There is never a perfectly cut off sheet even if I try to tear it slowly.

I purchased this easel for my 21/2 year old grandaughter who is delighted with it. The easel is adjustable, sturdy and should last a long time. Highly recommended.
Perfect for the M&D Easel...stock up!

If your kids love painting, writing, or drawing nearly as much as my kids do you need to get the paper roll for the easel. It fits perfectly on the Melissa & Doug easel stand and is better than using the dry erase board, which inevitably gets marked up with un-erasable colors.

I have not, however, purchased it from Amazon at the[...........] price which I think is way too much. I buy it locally for [...........] per roll.

I ordered this paper to go with the Froggy easel, but it was the wrong size, so be careful when you order this. I was confused because it was featured with a statement that "people who purchased this easel also bought this item."
Keep on rollin!

Never have to worry about my 4 year old son sneaking my computer paper anymore! He has plenty of his own on his easel!

You should by two. My 6yr old and 4 yr old are intense painters and did this daily for close to 2 months. Thank goodness I had my second roll as a back-up to give me a chance to buy my next set of paper rolls!
A must-have.

If you own the art supplies to go with Melissa and Doug's easel, you absolutely do need the Easel Paper Roll to complete the package. It fits perfectly with the easel, and I recommend that you purchase multiple rolls at once to always have an extra on hand. After all, you never know when young artists will be struck by inspiration!

Great company -- makes great toys!
Works Great, but Durability and Issue

I really like the Melissa and Doug Easel, and this paper works perfectly and lasts a long time. My only reason for giving it four stars is that I wish it were a little more durable. Each time I rip off a sheet after my son has painted, it tears a little - not a lot, mind you, but enough that it doesn't rip perfectly. I think this has something to do with the wetness of the paint causing the paper to buckle a little, putting stress on different places on the paper, causing it to not rip straight (unless you rip VERY slowly - perhaps I'm too impatient!). Otherwise, great stuff - my son loves it.
Fun

I bought an easel and did not where to find replacement paper for it. I looked on Amazon and there it was. Perfect just what I needed. The paper quality is good and it is nice to have a spare roll when the grandkids come and want to draw.

This item was a gift at Christmas. The picture depicted twin rolls and that was what I expected - only received one roll. With the shipping charges doubling the cost, I am not sure this was a good purchase, but it is needed with the easel I alo purchased. Maybe a visit to a local store to purchase the paper would have been a better option.

This paper is perfect for drawing and painting on the art easel. My daughter is having a ball with this paper.
Great value, keeps the art coming

I use this for my daughter's easel by Melissa & Doug, which itself does not come with paper but has a dowel for one. It's a great price for quality and amount of paper you get, but you should get 2 or 3 rolls to save on shipping costs, which are around $7 whether you get 1 roll or multiple rolls.
On a roll...

I searched several stores in my area and could not find replacement paper for my daughters' easel, so I decided to check out Amazon. I found this product and you could not beat the price, so I ordered two. It was nice thick paper and could handle the fancy artwork that my two and four year old Picassos created. I plan to order more.
Paper, Paper and more Paper

Well first of all the rolls were larger then I thought which is a good thing since the cost was higher than I'd like to pay. My daughter loves drawing and though the rolls were wider then her eisel she just rips off a piece and clips it too her board and enjoys making large masterpieces.
