I bought package for my son, and also this extra paper. He is 3 years old, and he loves to paint, and write with chalk. He was so happy about this purchase? and all his friends now want this too!!!

This three roll pack is a good value for the money. I ordered in December 2009 and it lasted until June 2010. My daughter uses it EVERY day for her easal so that is a lot of use! It is also very good quality easel paper that can withstand a toddler globbing on huge amounts of paint and going over the same spot multiple times--and it hardly ever rips! I would highly recommend getting the 3 pack bundle if your child loves to paint.

I bought this in addition to the Easel set. I probably could have waited since one roll of paper did come with the Easel. It's very good quality paper...it's just that my daughter hasn't really just used a whole lot yet, especially with sometimes using both sides of the paper. Only buy if you know that your child will be drawing constantly.

I gave this as a gift to my twin three year old nephews last Christmas. The product is sturdy and attractive and they enjoy playing with it.

Paper is good quality and best price I found online. We paint, use markers, crayons, chalk and other methods and the paper withstands it all well.
Probably can find paper at a better price

Have been told that one can purchase a much larger roll of butcher type paper and use instead of these refills. If your children are anything like mine - they will go through these rolls of paper very quickly - better to go with the cheaper industrial size - you may want to check your local grocery store or Sam's.

Bought the grandkids the Melissa and Doug Easel and they adore it. The paper rolls are easy to use, last quite a while, and are a better quality for painting than cheaper rolls. We had less expensive paper originally and it got soggy quickly. Recommend this highly.

Cheap paper does not hold up to paint

Let me first say my son loves to paint using the M&D easel. However, the M&D paper does not hold up and tears easily with paint. I would not recommend this paper. I ordered some 3rd party 50lb weight paper instead. The heavy weight paper never tore and can hold lots of paint.
thick paper

I bought this for my kids easel so they can scribble and draw. They have a lot of fun with it. I bought the easel at Ikea and this paper roll is about an inch smaller than what they sell. But it works just the same and it's nice thick paper and doesn't tear easily.
This works on a PB Kids easel

We bought our daughter an easel from PBK last year, but the company no longer carries the easel or the extra paper roll. Thank goodness the Melissa & Doug Deluxe Easel Paper (3 pack bundle) paper bundle works on it. So if you are in need of extra paper for your PBK easel, this will work for you.
The paper works. My daughter uses mostly crayon and chalk, and occasionally colored pencils. We have no problems with the paper tearing easily. We have not used it for water-based coloring/painting, since we use water color paper for this (and not the M&D paper). We will be trying it out with paint in the near future, so stay tuned. |

It is very thin paper, it is not wide enough for easel. Would not buy that in the future.
But we REALLY LIKE M&D EASEL!! Best thing I bought for our 19 month old. It is good investment.

DO NOT BUY THIS PAPER! My daughter put water and paint to it and after 3 brush strokes it tore! Cheap and thin paper I cannot believe they say that it can be used with paint!

Just what you would expect........very sturdy paper and getting three rolls is nice, but it was a little pricey because it was Melissa and Doug.
I would buy again, [...] |

I bought this to go with the Melissa and Doug Art Easel. At the time I wasn't sure if it was necessary but I'm glad I bought it. The easel works great and so we go through a lot of paper. It's convenient and easy to use. I also bought the art kit to go with the easel and while I'm also happy I bought that, it did come with a roll of paper.
Indispensible

An absolute must if you have an easel. This is great paper, we have even used it on both sides without any issues (maybe a little bleed though but little ones don't usually care). Make sure you catch it when they are on sale. My son uses his easel often and one roll lasted us months.
extra paper rolls for easel

This was a great purchase. Children go through the paper so quickly as they paint or color. This made it easy to replace the rolls since they came from the same manufacturer. It may not be an exciting gift, but it is very practical.
Good value
