My grandaughter loves it.

My three year old grandaughter is having fun with this. Right size, plenty of room for paint jars. Very sturdy. The paper holder clip is not perfect, but I don't know how to improve it. A little awkward, but it works. The package arrived on time and in good shape.
Not the one to go with....

I would not buy this product or recommend it to other parents.
Firstly, the construction is weak; a rivet fell off the chalkboard side not a week after we got it.
But my main complaint is about the chalkboard itself. It is not a working chalkboard at all. It's essentially a piece of textured plastic that is very difficult to draw on with chalk, and is absolutely impossible to erase, even with a damp cloth.
We bought this as an educational tool to help teach our children letters and numbers. Without a usable chalkboard we're basically going to have to buy another one, so this product was a complete waste of money.
I would suggest asking around to parents to find out if they have one they like before buying one, but regardless of anything, don't bother with this one.
Great Purchase!

The Good
I am glad we went with the plastic easel over the wooden ones. Very durable. My 18 month old likes to push it to different locations in the house and I do not have to worry about it tipping over. The trays are removable and very easy to clean. My daughter is short for her age (18 mos) but has no trouble reaching the paper/chalkboard to draw, even without something to stand on. The chalk writes great on the chalkboard and it erases well without any trouble. I have not had to buy any extra paper for it yet (one package was included with the easel) but I checked my local teacher supply store and they have plenty in stock of the right size.
The Bad
This was not easy to put together. There were no pre-drilled holes to attach the chalkboard or on the side where the yellow piece keeps the easel standing upright. We had to drill our own. Overall, not too big of a deal, but this is not the first time we have had such problems with Little Tike assembly. For some reason there were extra parts included in our box.
Little Tikes Double Easel - a good product

My 19-month old grandson loves the easel and used it immediately. He knew how to use the eraser with no prompts from any of us.

Personally, I found this product difficult to put together. Also, one piece was missing, Item "F". It was to have 4 of the "F" pieces, but contained only 3. There were several other extra pieces, more than specified in the instructions, but of course, not "F",the part we needed. It takes 2 Part "F"s to hold up each of the 2 trays. I must call the Little Tikes toll-free number to request a replacement part. My daughter-in-law and my husband were able to put the easel together with minimal help from me.

I'm sure my grandson will continue to use and enjoy this easel for a long while.
A great easel

I bought this easel used through the classifieds so I got a really good deal on it. The thing I love about Little Tikes toys is that they are a great deal when purchased used--they consist of sturdy bare essentials and don't have little frills that can be damaged. Basically what I'm saying is that, even though my easel was used, it still works like new.

I don't really love the "chalkboard", which isn't really a chalkboard at all but rather some rough black plastic. The chalk drawings aren't very crisp. However, I ABSOLUTELY prefer this surface over that glossy, slippery green stuff that some of my friends' kids have on their easels. At least the chalk shows up on this one.

Of all the easels I've seen (including Melissa and Doug's flimsy little thing and Costco's pricey one) this is definitely the best: very durable, very usable, easy to clean, hard to hurt, and a lot of fun.
Perfect!

This easel is just what I was hoping it would be! It is large enough and sturdy. My daughter loves it and I don't have to worry about it collapsing on her! (It also folds flat for storage--but she uses it too much for that right now.)

I purchased the Little Tikes Double Easel for my granddaughter for Christmas. Her mother made the suggestion & sent me the link to buy it from Amazon. It was painless, fast, secure & was shipped free of charge, so it was a "no-brainer" from where I stand. My granddaughter seemed to like it, but she is only 3 1/2 & her attention span is about a minute, it seems. I'm sure she'll have lots of fun with it in the coming months.
This is a great investment....

I purchased this easel for my 2 year old and she loves it. The paper clip doesn't hold very well, but its far from being annoying. I ended up purchasing from Walmart with an added discount as a new customer. This is a great buy and your child will love it.

Perfect growth toy

My 2.5 year old enjoys this toy, and I like the fact that it'll be with her for several years. I also like the paper for coloring, painting, stamping, whatever on one side, and the chalk board on the other (variety is always a good thing!) Unlike others, we didn't see a problem with the way the pad of paper is attached. It's a sturdy toy and we'd recommend it.

We actually got one of these for free in a different color brand new and I will say it is the most wonderful gift I think my child has received in a long time that is actually educational. I will say this though... if you are the one nominated to put it together it's not too bad BUT the instructions have no words, and only small pictures and make sure that when you put the rods through the easel for the clips that you make sure they are on the correct way BEFORE putting the caps on the other end. I didn't the 1st time and had to spend 10 minutes trying to get the caps back off. Luckily there were extra parts just for this reason I will assume. Anyway, right now this is set up in a corner of my living room and my daughter will spend hours drawing on her chalk board or on the paper and she's only 3. To sum it all up if you have the space to put this and you are considering buying it.. GO FOR IT! It's worth every penny.

This was a present for our granddaughter who justed turned 2. My daughter says she just loves it and it keeps her busy for quite some time everyday. It was a good purchase on our behalf.
Kids love it

I bought this for my great-niece's 2nd birthday (it was on her Amazon list). She loves this easel. She uses her chalk on one side, her markers on the other (she fancies herself quite the artist). And it is fairly light and easy to move from room to room if needed. I highly recommend this easel.

I expected more of this product. Assembly to be done should have and could have already been done by manufacturer. The clip for the paper is terrible - there should be two. The paper falls to easy. The side bars are too easy for the kids to lift.

I purchased this for my two year old twin nieces. It was almost perfect, it only had a clamp to hold drawing paper on one side so I took a clamp from a clipboard and installed it on the other side. The children love it.

I see where other reviewers don't like how lightly the grasp is of the paper clamp. It's okay, I'd rather have it release this easy, rather than hear my kid scream when her finger gets snapped into a harsher clamp.
We spend more time using the chalkboard side. We got a box of multicolored chalks to go with it, and we have fun drawing together.
keep looking

This my 2nd go as a mom. I have 2 teens and a 2-yr old. My teens used their easel everyday as toddlers. It was a primary part of their lives. This one is useless and unsafe. The paper holder doesn't hold, paper keeps falling off. The sidebars are easily lifted and can result in colapsing. The "chalkboard" is plastic, but works OK. I'm trashing this thing and looking for another.
Nice Easel

Reviewer: pidge mcgee,
My almost 3 year old really enjoys this since it makes it very easy for him to draw when he wants. Everything is right there and ready. The easel itself seems pretty sturdy. Puting it together went fairly well because I had help. It's much better with 2 people. (that seems to be a theme with Little Tykes products). Anyways, lucky for me it arrived with all the right parts and holes were actually drilled in the proper spots. I was expecting another assembly disaster due to previous quality control issues with other products. (another theme for them) It came with chalk, paper, and an eraser. The blackboard is a little funky but works. The trays that hold the supplies can be removed for cleaning. One thing I'm not too happy with is that the clip that holds the paper isn't as strong as it could be. It has trouble holding a whole pad of paper so I usually tear a few sheets off at a time. The easel can be folded up for storage, but it's almost pointless since it's on the bulky side no matter what. But overall, I'm happy with it. It seems very kid friendly.
Good quality, good for a pre-schooler

We probably bought this product too early. It was a gift for our son's second birthday. He really likes it, but it doesn't get a lot of use. I think he will get more out of it as he gets older. The product itself is made nicely and is very durable (2 year old thinks it is a jungle gym).
Terrible quality

This is some of the worst quality I have seen. assembly was next to impossible, none of the holes are drilled in the right place, basically had to redrill all the holes. Clip only holds the paper up on one side. Awful!! Worst thing we could have bought. Don't waste your money.
